UR NOT MAD ENOUGH investigates consequential facts hiding in plain sight.

Public records are often technically available and practically invisible. A decision may be scattered across court judgments, audits, contracts, access-to-information releases, government reports and regulatory filings. Few people have the time to find those records, assemble them and test what they mean. We do that work.

We do not start from the conclusion that an institution or person has done something wrong. We start with evidence. When the record establishes misconduct, failure, waste, deception or abuse of authority, we should say so clearly. When it does not, we should say that just as clearly.

The name is provocative. The journalism should not be. Our reporting is geographically unrestricted, politically unaffiliated and governed by the same evidentiary standard regardless of who or what is being examined.

The goal is not to tell readers what to be angry about. It is to show them enough evidence to decide for themselves.

Three ways to follow the record

Dossiers assemble deep investigations that journalists, officials and readers can cite. Briefs explain one substantially established finding without unnecessary length. The Ledger returns to published work and records what changed, what did not and what remains unknown.

The formats differ in scope, never in reliability. UNME would rather leave a publishing day empty than train readers to expect work that is merely adequate.

Accountable by design

Our methods, source links, corrections and published revision history are meant to be inspectable. Evidence is cited at the point of use, and publication-safe dossiers may document how central claims were tested. Private sources, restricted records and personal contact details are never made public merely for transparency's sake.

Ordinary email is not a secure or anonymous tip channel. Do not send highly sensitive information until a suitable secure route is available.

This is a static website with no advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, account system or client-side application code. Following a source, petition or government link takes you to a third party with its own privacy practices.
